I was wondering if anyone knew anything about the Phillip School in Gangnam? It seems like a nice school, but the hours seem a bit long to me (9:30-6) with some breaks in-between and the salary they're offering is around 2m won. I've heard that the average working day for a teacher in Korea is 6 hrs. but I don't know how accurate that is, so I was hoping someone could let me know a little about the school's reputation and whether or not those hours and pay seem about right. |

That's the dreaded split shift. I'd avoid it, unless you really really want to live/work in Gangnam, which is a pretty nice area. But a LOT of scools will have you work similar hours or an even longer spread, for a while I worked 10:30-9 with a big break in the middle and I'm not doing that again... |
