They do say it, but not as a standard greeting as we would, when saying goodbye. It would leave more of an impression on someone you like. It can also be shortened to

Wow, thanks for all the replies! Some good feedback.
I'm just starting to study Korean at a university in the U.S., and I placed into a first-year "Korean heritage" class (though I'm not Korean heritage) because I can already read hangul and have a Japanese and Chinese language background. My professor is going to try putting me into the "non-heritage" first-year class, though, because the heritage kids have better listening skills than me, and she'll move me up if it's too easy for me.
So, if she asks me tomorrow (the first day) if it's too easy, I want to be able to say (politely), "It seems a bit too easy for me."
I certainly don't want to be rude to my teacher, or too cocky, especially on the first day of class.
So, what's the best POLITE way to say "(It seems/it might be) too easy"? |

, () ... Yeah, (as I expected) it seems a little bit too easy...
? - Do you have anything a bit more difficult?
Standard politeness, though not super-duper polite. |

what school are u at?
cuz, when i took 1st yr korean last yr they divided the classes like that for the first semester; then combined them in the second.
i'd say stick with what u have. cuz heritage speakers think they are the sh*t because they can spit a few sentences in korean. and it's a disgusting distraction to be in a class full of people that think they are too good for the class and that it's going to be an easy A (most heritage speakers).
but u placed in a higher class just cuz u can read hangul?
cuz i could read hangul before i entered my class & i had also finished a yr of japanese....so...
the grammar is really similar, but korean has a lot of sh*t which is useless that japanese doesn't...
and...sorry if it sounds rude, but if u dunno "it's too easy" then stick with what u have... -_-
they just talk faster in the heritage classes. you'll still be learning the same grammar... and probably have the same teacher... |

You can install Korean language support via the WinXP CD as well. |
You are right demo but I think it doesn't have the new Global IME, though it is easily found on the Microsoft site under the file name, 'Korean Language Pack'. |
