I am at wits end here. I am trying to find a job in Korea from Australia. However no recruiter seems to reply back to my emails.

Like even with job vacancies that I apply to. I send them a photo (Me in a shirt and tie) and a resume and NADA, nothing. Jeez I didnt think I was that ugly.

BTW I am Australian.

Any thoughts on whats going on?

Hi,

This is going out in Sympathy, I was there, and eventually decided to just say to hell with it and go to Korea myself for a Summer program. After a good few days here they cottoned on that I was already here and started calling.

Stupid.

you would think we were right down at the bottom of the earth or something! He He.

If you're looking at Daegu or Seoul, I could try letting a few people know about you.

What kind of job are you after? I've had a couple and know the ropes a bit.

I have an email here of a guy, Gene Kim, who I just met today who seems to know of at least a couple of jobs.

[email protected]

I haven't tried this email yet, but give it a go.

By the way someone suggested posting on the board or looking at pusan web for a job. Often there is no need to use a recruiter.

Easy enough to find without a recruiter. Only reason I used one was because I am doing Summer Work only. If I was going for a year I would definitely to my best to contact the people myself (ie coworkers and boss).

Hey,

What about me?? Laughing

I'm Craig, the guy that spoke to you on the phone this AM and set you up with the meeting with Gene. And I'm the guy giving you more work when that job finishs in July.

Can't you refer business my way?? Very Happy

Me helping Hadeshorn on his jobsearch and then having you mention my recruiting associate on the same thread. Small world.

Post your resume on the ESL cafe job seekers board. You'll have more recruiters than you know what to do with.
