Just wondering how expensive is it to move your things here in Korea. I don't have a lot of stuff but I have a desktop and a scooter that I would like to keep with me when I move.
Any inof would be great.. |

It wasn't very expensive when I moved. A friend called one of the moving companies that rents out trucks (one of those blue bongos). The phone number was posted on all the telephone poles in my neighborhood. I think I paid W50,000 for use of the truck for the day. The price included the driver. I was expected to buy him lunch.
Happy moving. |

When I moved, I had an apartment load of stuff, and I was moving two hours drive away. The cost for the proper moving truck and driver was 100,000 for the day.
According to a Korean friend- to find a mover try dialing whatever the first three digits of your landline are + 2424. So if your number is 555-4321 dial 555-2424 and chances are it's a moving company ( "esah"- is move or moving in Korean)
Good luck |

It is quite cheap to transport motorcycles\scooters here in Korea.
When I moved from Sokcho to Incheon here it cost me around 30k won to bulk freight my motorcycle.
Any old motorcycle shop should have the numbers of at least half a dozen shipping companies that will ship your scooter to anywhere in Korea.
Also, if you are only moving a short distance and have just a few boxes of stuff, you can ring up one of those rent-a-Bongo type guys you see everywhere. Cost runs about 20k to 40k depending on the distance and load. |
