| I had to send a copy of my transcript in a sealed envelope to my employer when getting my visa. It wasn't for my employer, it was for the Immigration office in Pohang. I got it all back, though. I thought it was a pain in the proverbial at the time, but when I called my university, it was no drama at all as they do this sort of thing all the time. |

the sealed transcripts are for immigration when you submit your visa application with a notarized copy of your diploma from the korean consulate
if you send the original diploma, you can just give them your transcipts that are not sealed and it will suffice.
this happened to me when i was getting my visa from the immigration office in seoul this past time. |
