A recent survey showed that the Korean people's anti-communism has decreased while anti-Americanism has notably increased. People aged between 20s to 40s picked the U.S. as Korea's biggest enemy. "The Korean people's structure of consciousness has become very flexible so that it cannot be identified with the concept of anti-communism and many Koreans treat the U.S. as the number one enemy, which tells us that anti-Americanism is notably increasing," added Prof. Koh.

Anyone who has spent more than 5 minutes in Korea knows that the country Koreans hate the most is the United States of America.

How many Americans in the U.S. know they are the "number one enemy" of South Koreans? Do American teachers planning to come live and work in Korea know that many of their students think of the U.S. as the "main enemy?" How well can an "enemy teacher" teach students?

A strange thing I came across in my travels throughout the Middle East (a couple of years back, won't be doing it again any time soon) was that the only people who liked America were in Syria and Iran. The people in all the countries whose governments supported America, hated the U.S. with a passion.

A majority of the North Koreans I meet in China were actually supportive of the U.S. The complete opposite of most South Koreans I've met so far.

There is some really wacky crap going down in the de-education of Korean students to have a number like this. I can only blame the educational system for blind siding its people to the realities of the world in exchange for ma5turbatory (why is that a beep?) racial education. Sad number and even sadder youth.

True, improving the relations with North Korea is important. It is a totally different thing, however, to pursue an inter-Korean reconciliation policy and to give the cold shoulder to people who sacrifice themselves for the nation. It is a question concerning whether the nation behaves as a noble nation should.

Well I think Let koreans hate America and JApan and who ever else they hate,, fact is and intelligent koreans also say.. KOREANS are koreas biggest enemy..
instead of always blaming someone why not prove to themselves and get on it with what ever it is that you are trying do!!

Also I hope soon America just packs up and leaves. problem is america has already done so much for koreans that koreans will never be apreciated of it... so what ever..
