My female friend, who is from Argentina, is in the process of applying for a tourist visa to enter the country for 1 month.

She would like to teach Spanish privates and possibly at a university. Teaching English might be out of the picture as she is not a native teacher, blah blah blah.

Anyway, is it possible that my employer can okay an invitation for her to stay legally on my visa paperwork.

I know that this can be done for children and spouses, but how about for significant others.

Also, she'll be job hunting here and who knows, I may end up just marrying her.

Does she even need a visa if it's just for 30 days?

That's an old list.

Has anybody ever had your sig other sponsored by your employer? How'd you do it?

Spouses excluded, of course.

My Thai girlfriend is here right now visiting for the third time in 11 months. Just to be sure my employer gives me a letter in Korean that says who I am and who she is and that she'll be visiting and staying with me for these dates ,and then includes a phone number and the name chop.

I also, send her this and a photocopy of my ARC. She always gets three months and only once had to have the second interview where they sent her through after 2 minutes. The return ticket seems to be the most important part as 2 out of 3 times they have never glanced at the papers. Just nice to play it safe though.

WHY? Why is she coming here to teach privates for one month.....what is the purpose of that? The students will want a teacher for longer than that....Korea is not a home for every idiot without a job.
Why can't she simply visit Korea, see the sights and then go home...why must she try to milk someone of money.

She wants to stay longer. That's why I'm asking the board for help.

How can this be done legally?

The letter is a good idea.

I should go to Immigration. They will give her 3 months to stay?

Or no trip needed?
