has anybody with an american c-3 visa, reentered the country after a 90 day stay? i am coming up on the end of my visa, and was wondering if there would be any problems when i go through immigration at the airport. i have my student id card from sogang, but when i came over the first time i remember getting hassled, and seemed to think the guy didn't believe me when i said i was studying.
if you have any experience, please let me know! |

i just looked up the c3 visa on www.koreaembassy.org As far as i can tell it is does not specifically state that it can be renewed automatically for another 90 days BUT it also is a visa that can be used for 5 years. I have one stamped in my own passport. I only used it once and then later changed it to a E2 visa ( i was getting married in korea but didn;t want to work and wanted to stay longer than 30 days (american).
just got out my passport and it reads "good for MULTIPLE journey in the ROK within 60 MONTHS of date here of if passport remains valid." Mulitiple journey would imply that you just have to leave Korea after 90 days and should (theoretically) be able to come back in again. Multiple journey on E2 visas just gives you permission to leave the country whenever you want and come back within your 12 months of work. But to be on the safe side, i would call immigration or the number listed on teh website above |
