I'm back here in Canada after 7 years off and on in Korea with my wife Sandra. Just wondering---- how's the weather and mosquitoes this year?

I've seen two mosquitoes so far (but I live in a low 'squito area) and it's been cool and wet.

Take up smoking clove cigarettes like me.

Mosquitoes, for some reason, hate the smell of clove cigarettes.

I remeber reading somewhere that wearing sure deodrant attracts more mosquitos compared to other deodrants. Has anyone else heard this?

I could have fallen for the deodrant version of fan death. Shocked

Why is it mosquitos always seem to go for the ears?

skeeter bite count=4 itching at the moment, but considering I teach with the windows open and we don't have screens, I guess that's not too bad.

Way too hot. The mosquitoes seem to be dying down a bit though.

I love my air-con, and my little mosquito poison machine. (What do they put in those blue mosquito tablets anyway?)

Mosquitoes? What mosquitoes? The Korean government sprays the heck out of mosquitoes to reduce the chances of people contracting malaria and Japanese encaphalitis. I've only been bitten once of twice this year and the irritation was much milder than usual. If you live on one of the top floors of an appartment building, you will never see a mosquito and you won't even smell the insecticide as they spray around your neighborhood. Back home in Canada, I'm surrounded by a cloud of mosquitoes the moment I stop outdoor.

The temperature these days is quite pleasant, hovers between 25-27 centigrade. Seems to be a milder summer than usual. The humidity isn't terrible either. But, you'll get different answers depending on where the person lives. My town is cooler than most places. I'm sure it's still ungodly hot and muggy in Pusan.

I haven't been bitten at all this year, thank god. For those of you who always seem to get bitten, purchase a "Home Mat" (ȨƮ) plug-in. Works like a charm.

My apartment is mosquito-proof (which makes me happy), but they still would buzz around my window from time to time. One night, I left the light on while I was out, and I came back to find 100 mosquitoes hugging the window screen. So, me being the mosquito hater that I am, I closed the window. For the next week.

Oh, the dead bodies were blissful.

Read the label. ,-ý/Ʈ Ʈ 7mg, -ý/Ʈ ˷Ʈ 25mg. It's d-cis-trans prallethrin and d-cis-trans allethrin (or just prallethrin and allethrin)).
