I went to the first place that I found, run by a kind ajumma who is very patient. By making "bsrrrr" sounds and and "snip-snip" sounds like an embattled three year old I was able to indicate where I wanted to be shaved and where I wanted cut with scissors. It worked every time and she gets better each time. I come out looking like a bit of a soldier, but that is the way I usually get it done anyway. I also like the way they clean you up afterward. And for only 6,000 won...you'd never get that treatment back home.

Now trying to convince her to not cut my sideburns off and render me into someone looking like they are three years old? That took 2 trys before she got it right on the third time.

I keep going back for the great service, and the excellent body and facial expression conversations we have.

i will say this for the salon. regardless of the fact that they can't cut their way out of a wet paper bag, they know how to treat a customer.

not only did i have one woman cutting my hair, i had two girls holding these little weird sponges to brush hair off my neck, and then when my hair was wet, they did a double-duty blow dryer routine.

it seems like overkill, but it's rare that a dude like me gets pampered. maybe i'l go to a spa next. i sure could use a facial.

Next time you go, ask for a "sports" cut. Trust me. I would especially recommend this look to women. Really, really sexy, girls.

You can thank me later.
