Thanks for the write-ups, jae. It's funny how there doesn't seem to be many Korean restaurants in Strathfield or Campsie. I was thinking of heading to one of these 2 places for a feed but it sounds like Eastwood's a better bet!

Home? Korean restaurants? Hell, I was 20 before I even became vaguely aware that there were Asian restaurants in the Western world....much less Korean, Japanese, Thai, etc.

(And it's not my fault, either. Location.)

There is a Eunhasu on Pitt St in the city (Sydney) as well.. It belongs to the same chain as the Strathfield one and imho is much better.. There is also a great one on Kent St (can't remember the name) behind the George St cinema's and on the edge of the Spanish quarter.. The bibimbab, japchae and seafood pancakes are brilliant and good value at about $10..

Also, the food court in The Sussex Plaza in Chinatown has a place called woori bbq. It's not actually BBQ but has a great menu and is cheap .. Numbers 12 (spicy chicken bulgolgi) and number 25 (spicy seafood combination) are the pick of the bunch.. Again looking at around $8 each.. The Bibimbab is also tops..

Finally as to why there are so many Korean restraunts in Eastwood. Simply there is a big Korean community there.. a couple blocks of Korean stores..

In Brisbane, QLD Australia it's a restaurant called Gaya. But for real barbequed Bulgogi you need a different place.

there's a shinpo (korean chain, i've seen one in myeongdong and dongdaemun) on bute just up from robson. exactly the same menu as the ones here in korea.

arirang house on broadway is nice, it even has grills on the table just like here.

broadway in between cambie and oak is little korea it seems, and there's tons of little korean places popping up in ESL town (seymour - richards in between dunsmuir and pender).

Last time I checked we did not have any Korean restaurants. I eat Korean food all the time, but guess what, if I never saw it again, who cares?
