Yeah, from the little reading I've done it appears that Kamchatka, unfortunately, isn't very suited to independent travel and looks far better suited as a week's holiday destination (far more interesting than most) as suggested by ohahakehte.
As for the remaining eastern side of Russia, north of the railway does anyone know how possible it is to travel on a relative budget here? Taking flights after flight is pretty expensive and not really as much fun. |
