yeah..lets get something going for real. i know a few places down here, but they might be kinda hard to get to if you don't have your own personal transportation.
we need a place that is easy to get to.
any suggestions out there |
couldn't we taxi from the nearest town then foot it to the places you know cache? |
Well...Jirisan N.P. is fairly easy to get to.
There's a great camping area right in the heart of Jirisan.
It's called Baemsagol.
I don't know if fires are allowed, but theres swimming/hiking.
Another place is Hwaeomsa Temple in the south part of Jirisan NP.
Camping and hiking.
A very short bus ride from town of Gurye.
(these 2 places are about 4 hours south of Seoul)
It would be really cool if we could meet at that "YongChu valley" place, but it's really hard to get to if your coming from far away.
Catch a bus to Daegu and then to Hamyang.
From there we can get a city bus to the camping area.
....if you can manage to get there...it is worth the time.

A good fire is a must in my book, it kinda sucks sitting around in the dark. So i would say go with the places where it's ok. |

Sweet as there wylde!, we could make it the unofficial drinking competition to boot aye. I reckon me and you would be the two contenders on that score anyways!. Good to see you could be up for it big fella.
Why don't you see if you can talk the welsman into coming as well, if he's into jumping off cliffs that is! |

I hear ya man. Living in the concrete jungle's all good, but i'm actually daydreaming about the isolated scenic spots i would hit up back home if i had the chance. Not that theres much chance of isolation in korean NP's but i'll take whatever i can get.
We have 5 potential jumpers at the mo, any more than 9 or ten would be too much of a mission i'm thinking, we'll see how it pans out anyways. |

okay...i'm seeing some serious interest here. thats cool.
i'll try to locate a place were we can have a big fire and shit.
or we could meet in somewhere and rent a car.
most of the places i know of are kinda remote. i can get there 'cause i have a bike, but I don't want you to spend 10 hours on some bus. |

about the waterfall..you can bomb from the top OR ya can jump from the side. we went back up there on Sunday and the water was really flowing from the top.
we pissed off a few old Koreans when we jumped cause the water was kinda dangerous. When the rainy season is over it will be fine though.
i will scope out a few places in the next couple of weeks.
are you guys seriously willing to make the trip from Seoul?
i'll be ready. |
