it must be the best job in korea.. the students are old enough to understand a joke (especially boys and sex jokes.. eg.. whats it your favorite hobby? masturbation - i go up to the offender and with 2 fingers mimic his action and then show him my style with 2 hands). a little wrong i know.. but my students have fun.. Laughing

i can grab a boy by the earlobe and drag him around school.. great fun. Laughing

i can drag a girl up to a teachers office with her laughing and playing silly buggers only to have start howling and crying just as i get her to the door.. Laughing

i can then take her back to class and explain to everybody that 'cool chick' is actually a sook that cries when threatened with punishment by a korean teacher.. love that part.. Laughing

i can punch boys in the arm (fuggen hard) and i can pinch and twist their nipples Laughing

i can take cell phones, mp3 players and mirrors and keep them for as long as i want.. Laughing

i can do what ever i want and not be hassled by the parents.. in fact, the parents tell me to be harder.. Laughing

i can make the students take trash cans (during the cleaning time) and wash them out to be like new.

i can make students pick up any trash that is on the ground.. Laughing

i can make a class miss lunch if a few people didn't do their homework Laughing

this is not all that i do..

i do good stuff too

but the authority is soooooooooooooo nice.. kinda like being a mod on daves Razz

i'm worried about my new job... it is in a college, i fear i may not have the same skills allowed to me as in high school..

in my experience.. younger, difficult.. older, boring

Well, if you're happy with sexually and physically abusing your students and crossing lines that just should never be crossed, more power to ya!

Crois...bingo! You got it. Well done.

Rawiri,

Come on now, half of what wylde said in the OP leads to jail time back home... Laughing

Nothing PC there or would you like it if your daughter or sons teacher twisted their nipples, humiliated them in front of the class and the list of other things...

One can only hope Wylde was hammered (as he professes to often be) when he posted that and that most of it was meant as a joke.

Homer you ever been in a Korean High School?

I'd say Wylde is taking it easy on them, compared to the Koreans.

I actually think he's telling the truth.

As for the college thing.

Just do it with a smile. They actually seem to like it.

Still can but its even more fun with the boys. Of course now it's your office that you take them to.

Gossip will do that part.

Keep it up (maybe not the nipple thing). Taking the gizmos is how I used to get a lot of criers. Love watching a 22 years old boy cry because he lost his phone for a week.

Who? You'll never see a one.

Sadly these days are gone.

My favorite college punishment.

I made a kid who spit in my classroom lick it back up off the floor and put it where it belonged, back in his mouth. Word spread fast. Even non-English majors wouldn't spit infront of me in the hall. When I was taking a piss some wouldn't even spit in the pisser when I was there. Laughing

think about when you were in high school... teachers says, you do.. same here.. but you can be a little harder here and have support from the parents at the same time hahahahahaha Laughing

I myself like teaching middle school better than teaching uni kids. My students are much more animated, and I am able to have more fun with them.

Yes I have and yes I have taught in a High school in Busan..so no I am not talking wihtout knowing any better... Laughing (as I did back home)

I did use discipline with my students but did not have to resort to the methods mentionned in the OP.

But, the tactics employed and seemingly approved of by wylde in his OP are not acceptable in a teacher-student interaction. Student to student that is a different thing.

But should a teacher really be twisting nipples and humiliating his students just because he or she feels he can (perhaps the op was not to be taken litteraly then)?

Back in my high school wylde it was indeed "teacher says and we do". It was not however, teacher ays, we act up so he physically abuses us or goes on some powertrip to humiliate one of us to show the rest of us that he is the boss.
But hey thats just me.

In the end wylde, I am sure you do a good job in the classroom, I just find your methods (even if they are used by some korean teachers) and especially the way you seem to get enjoyement out of them to be disturbing.

You know what Wylde. I say good for you.

Forget about what some of the little *beep* do-gooders want to say. Let them have their hagwon jobs.
