Is the game on a disc or did you get it burned onto your machine's HD?

How much did you pay?

I got the game last week and really started to get into it this past weekend. A buddy and I played the game for most of Saturday night prior to heading out for the night.

It is an exceptional game. Though the training camps are a little hard using the Controller Configuration 1 setting.

Got a copy of the game at Yongsan for $15, 000. Right now they only have the packaged version for the X-Box.

The analogue style is difficult to get used to. The boxer I created (a 6 foot 8 redheaded fatass named "hotsauce") so far has a stellar 5 and 5 record and is ranked about 47th. Difficult but i think i'm gradually improving. Unlike other boxing games you can't just step up and start swinging away. You have to dodge, block and watch for holes in the opposition and then plan your blows.

I just love the blood, damage to the face and sweat streaming down the guys face.

I agree the training is stupid hard...hotsauce just doesn't have the coordination for it.

I've had this little gem for a quite a while, unfortunately I got a bit bored with a while ago. the computer opponents are pathetically easy to beat with the exception of Chris Byrd.
To extend the longevity, make sure one of your friends gets really good at it too, so you can just have battles against each other all night. Playing with non-heavyweightsput the emphasis on boxing skill, not big punches

Definitely, definitely the greatest boxing game ever. Just so intelligent. You go in throwing punches you will be on the canvas inside a minute.

Also the fact that the training really improves your boxing skills makes it all worthwhile. Also unlocking and buying different signature punches is fun.
If you are having difficulty in career mode, stay around the lower ranks until you train your guy to near top strength, then launch an attack at the top 10.

As for the training, the heavy bag and the sparring are the most difficult, agreed?
with the heavy bag, timing is everything, make sure you can do your uppercuts, hit the bag one way, then with your other fist aim to hit it just as it starts to pass you on it's way back down, and then keep with that strategy. You need to get the score multiplier up to get the really high points.

As for sparring, I had real problems with that too. You get the highest points for parrying the other guy's punch and countering him with one of your own. also a great skill to bring into the ring with you. But I found I wasn't getting my points up quick enough, so if you just want to get attribute ratings, try ducking and pushing into your opponent, and repeatedly hitting him with jabs and straights. it's a real killer on your thumbs (I play X-box version) but it does the job.

Definitely the most fun in the game is making a boxer that looks just like you and bringing him through the ranks.
Also there are cheats to unlock different venues, fighters, and combos if you don't want to earn them the hard way. i don't them off by heart, but type them into Google and you will get them easily enough.

When you get good enough, come down to Daejeon and the J-Rock bar for a big tournament!!
