|
|
| I mailed a notarized copy of my degree to the Korean Consulate in Houston. I called them today, and they told me they would mail it back today or tomorrow. The mistake I made was I mailed it priority instead of express mail. What is the quickest service to mail my documents to Korea? The recruiter emailesd me last night and told me that if I don't get my visa here in the states, I have to come to Korea a week early to go on a visa run. The night before I called the school and talked to them, and they said it is ok for me to leave August 18 and they would schedule my visa run for me. Another question I have is: Do I listen to the recruiter or the school? My contract specifically says I start my 6 days of orientation August 26. I cannot afford to change my airline ticket. I will be working at an elementary school in Kwangju City, in Kyunngi-Do. |

It usually only takes about 3-4 days for the embassy to do their thing and get the visa back to you. An airmail usually takes about 7-10 days from Korea. I would say you probably have time.
Express mail is the fastest other than overnight courier.
Good luck and see you at orientation. |

| I used FedX. It arrived in korea in 4 days. I thought was pretty good, yet expensive. |

| I mailed my documents today using Express Mail. The post office told me it would take 2-3 days. |

| The quickest that I've ever seen documents get here is 3 days thru DHL and they are fairly consistent with that. I've had quotes of 2-3 days from other places, but it sometimes ends up being 3-5. |

| I know the OP has done the deed, but I just sent my docs from Oklahoma last week with FedEx and it took less than 48 hours for everything to get there, and it was less than $40. |
