ah i don't know... did you guys ever notice that the dudes who had mullets in 1988-1992 ended up all shaving their heads around 1996?

My hypothesis is that the rednecks of any culture are ten years behind everyone else in fashion. In the 1980s, rednecks sported '70s butt-cutts. In the 1990s, rednecks donned the Def Leppard mullet. And recently, I've noticed that I see more and more rednecks growing grunge rock goatees.

also-notice how no hockey players have mustaches anymore? it used to be an important criterion for my participation in hockey pools - i had to have AT LEAST ONE dude on my team with a mustache. it's impossible now.

Was Lanny McDonald an integral part of your team year after year? Smile

he and dave babych kept me in mustache, year after year.

it's appropriate... professional hockey is the safest hiding place for closeted homosexuals since the catholic church... i never trust a gay man who doesn't have a mustache.

Well, if you're a teacher you can work on the next generation. I printed up a photo from the internet of Mullet Man and taught my kids that mullets are bad and people with mullets speak poor English. Whenever my students said "You is..." I told them they would marry Mullet Man.

When I lived in Chungju in 2001, there was a cat there who would chase down mullet-sporting folks and take their picture. Most took it in stride, but some feared the 6-foot-plus, pink-bathrobe wearing Don Keydick and his Kodak disposable. He once made us stop a moving car so he could chase down an 8-year-old with a rat-tail.

There should be a mulleted emoticon.

Now, I'm not sure if this has much relevance, but in the South in the past few years, a lot of country restaurants have offered regular All You Can Eat Mullet nights. And, yeah, a lot of mullet-wearing families wearing their wife beaters would crowd the parking lots on Tuesday nights to stuff their bellies with bony fried mullet fish.

Way too many people sporting goats now !

Haven't decided what's next, maybe follow desultudes advice and shave my head Shocked

I shaved my head in 1998. It was great to have a low maintenance hair cut and to totally avoid bad hair days. And women loved rubbing my bald head (hey, get your mind out of the gutter).
