Anybody invested in one of these?
Basically it's a camera phone with an MP3 feature.
I'm not sure how many megabytes these things store. Wouldn't seem to be much.

Very subjective....boils down to features, price and convenience.
Convenience usually needs a big budget. Rich people have lots of cool stuff. New tech is usually convenient, but expensive and not usually a "mature" product. "Mature" products are usually more well-developed in terms of usefulness and as they enter the market in higher numbers, the price drops. I usually buy on the cutting edge when I do need something, and it's not often a great idea....3 or 4 months later, a better product comes to market, and it's cheaper.
Features...well, if the combo has everything the 2 standalones you want have, then why not?
Price is just math. Is the combo cheaper than the 2 standalones?
The mix of the 3 is totally subjective. |

I have a Sky Im-7200 and it has 42,684 kb of memory on it. That's not very much considering that is the MP3, video, and picture memory combined. You can take stuff off of the phone BUT, it is a little difficult if you don't understand the Korean software required for that and, you are not able to remove anything from the phone that you downloaded directly on your phone, ie. ringers, pictures, music videos, etc.
This phone was bloody expensive and I like it for the most part, however, you should consider what Demo said and wait for the next generation of MP3 phones as you will assuredly get more memory from future models. |

I think having an MP3 player and digital camera in a mobile phone would be very handy.
Does anyone recall whether Samsung has made its 2.0 million pixel camera MP3 phone yet? What's the model's name?
I don't have any of those three things at the moment, so for me it'll be worth it. I'm waiting for Samsung's reportedly 2.0 mill pixel model expected out by this summer (because 2.0 mill pixels is good enough to be published in any newspaper, a feature I'd use with my part-time journalistic pursuits).
I'd pay up to a million won for a great model. |

Wifey's mom bought each of us an LG Cyon 3010 mp3/camera phone.
Killer.
I think it only stores about 9 or 10 songs.

It should be noted as well that they usually expect you to use the phone internet to get the MP3's onto your phone. This is very expensive.
My phone actually came with software for my computer but it won't allow me to transfer MP3's, only NATE internet file types... what a piss off! |
