| I usually do "knocking on heavens door", "el condor pasa", anything by the stones, "rivers of babylon" is a fave. The other week a friend and I did a good duet on "killing me softly". Hey Yaa is good for a larf too. |

| If someone else is singing with me it has to be Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. That song rules! |

Given as I go to the noraebang at least 3 times a week... songs that I always sing:
"I Just Called" - Stevie Wonder version
"Great Balls of Fire"
"Johnny B. Goode"
"Hotel California"
"Everything I Do" (I sing this as a joke to my co-teacher cause she gets embarrased really easy)
And a whole lot of Elvis... "Hound Dog", "Heartbreak Hotel", and "Can't Help Falling In Love"
Also, "Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You"
"Ms. Jackson" and "Thank God I'm A Country Boy" also get air time...
Plus some Koreans songs... |

500 Miles
Come Together
Lithium
One of the three, not all three, and only after considerable urging. But the beauty in these three songs is you don't need to be able to sing to sing them... |

Okay, how about songs that you'd wish they'd add to the noraebang repertoire? What have you flipped the pages in vain for every time you've gone?
My list:
REM - It's the End of the World As We Know It
Les Miz, Phantom, Rent -- stuff choir nerds like
Crowded House - Don't Dream It's Over
Dexys Midnight Runners - Come On Eileen
Dream Academy - Life in a Northern Town
Edie Brickell and New Bohemians - What I Am
Frankie Goes to Hollywood - Relax
Madness - Our House
Rocky Horror Picture Show tunes ("I'm Going Home" would be GREAT)
REM - Drive
REM - Nightswimming
REM - I Am Superman
U2 - Sunday Bloody Sunday
They Might Be Giants - Particle Man
They Might Be Giants - Birdhouse In Your Soul
Afroman - Because I Got High
Steve Miller - The Joker
Cowboy Junkies - Sweet Jane
Filter - Take a Picture
Fuel - Shimmer
Indigo Girls - Closer to Fine
Third Eye Blind - Semi-Charmed Life
If anyone has seen any of these, and I've made a mistake, please PM me! |

I've usually stuck to Radiohead.
No Surprises
Paranoid Android
Optimistic
There, There
eh... Creep if hassled
This usually throws the whole atmosphere for a loop. I don't think it increases my professional popularity any, but I don't really want to sing any of their crap.
also
Metallica - Enter Sandman
Nirvana - You Know You're Right
Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit
Smashing Pumpkins - Bullet With Butterfly Wings
Smashing Pumpkins - 1979
Though I do like that "Na, Na, NaNaNa, Bounce with me, bounce" Korean song.
There are a lot of songs I would like to sing but of course they're not in the universal playlist. |

Every you, every me by Placebo.
Most songs are too high for me plus I am tone deaf. I really like that song though, and as long as I only sing it with koreans I can keep telling myself that I do a good imitation of the singer's voice
also, you haven't lived until you have been to a norae bang with 4 drunk japanese girls. Listening to these crazy j-pop songs sung complete with aerobic like dance moves... good fun |

For English songs I've taken a recent liking to screaming out "Are You Gonna Be My Girl" by Jet, or busting out the "Yeah" (Usher) or any of the semi-recent rap songs for laughs...
For Korean songs, I cannot leave without doing "Run To You" by DJ DOC, "Way I-lae" (Turtles-haha), or "The Day After Separating" by Lee Hyun-Woo (crooner)...
Anyone ever tried "Thong Song"? HAHAHAHAAAA! |

One - U2 (everyone loves it)
Wonderful Tonight - Eric Clapton (dead easy, and impresses the ladies)
Goodgod - Korn (narsty song. only appropriate when tanked)
Tonight, Tonight - Smashing Pumpkins (if you can approximate Billy Corgan's nasal honk)
Lady Madonna - The Beatles (lesser-known song, it's a hoot)
The End - The Doors (don't worry, it's not 11 minutes long. they trim it quite a bit) |

Went to the Noraebang on Friday night and found a new one.
Plug in baby - Muse. Love that song.
Also another Korean favorite i pulled out was Loveholic. Really easy to sing, repetative sentance structure,a nice upbeat song and the voice range is minimal.
Hi hi ho love hi hi ho love, do do do do do do do do. |
