Anyone dealt with them? I looked at their ad, and they are 2 guys named Matthew and Michael.

I had a bad experience with a different recruiter, called Manhattan Recruiting and also with New Bridge Recruiting (same as Manhattan), and coincidentally, they were named Matthew and Michael.

I spoke with Michael not too long ago and we sent him all our stuff and never heard anything back. Although, to be fair, that has been a response from many recruiters I have dealt with, and then out of nowhere I hear from them again. Whatever.

If you are interested I highly recommend ckteachersabroad.com. They are pretty great. Organized, honest essentially what you would want from a recruiter.

i read a post on them in the Job Info Journal and it wasn't a good one. Mind you, the stories in there aren't always correct. But try to find one that's reputable on this board, i've heard footprints is good they are based out of Vancouver i think. Anyways just ask around.

I don't need a recruiter. I just want to know if the old bad recruiter has changed their name, so I can warn my friends. They are bad people.

Hmm, well I spoke to Matthew a few times and sent him my info, but I never heard back either. He seemed nice...but of course, it's hard to tell.

It's vacation time now. Schools, students and recruiters are on holiday. You can expect slow responses. E-mail receptionists may not respond for various reasons. That doesn't mean the recruiter is good or not. A lot of recruiters are just teachers who've worked here for awhile. They have no clue as to how to run a business well. They're just lookin at $1000 fees. Blinded by the light. A well run recruiting business would respond to you within 12 hours IMHO despite the holidays.
