Today has to be the best day of my life. I woke up this morning to discover that my scooter was missing. I checked all over the block thinking some drunk korean/ teenager decided to hide it but no it wasn't there. I went to the police to find out if they could do anything but since it is only 50 cc they said they will have a really hard time finding it.
Normally I park in inside my apartment building but being too hungover yesterday I left it outside, which I did for the first two months I had it.
So heed this warning!!! Always lock your scooter or you will be in the same situation I am |

Didn't you know...scooters are recycled between everyone.
Just go and steal someone elses and you'll be sweet.
Some as they way you use umbrellas here |

If it makes you feel better...my brand new (albeit a 125cc) bike was stolen, with only 11 km clocked on it, not to mention parts of my other bikes (over time) being theived as well. Police laughed at me when I asked to write a report.
Another day, I was hanging over my balcony (11th floor) and watching the passers-by, and noticed an average-looking ajossi getting on a maroon scooter, that I thought was my friend's....but because he got it started in just a second or two, I thought it was just the same make/model as his. My bad, it was my friend's, and it was stolen in broad daylight.

Yea really. That's desperation.
I had my first motorcycle stolen. The security guards often saw either myself or my coworker (we both paid half on the bike) riding it out to go wherever, and it was fine for a few months, but one morning we looked out over the balcony and it was gone. Another guy a few stairwells down also left his (far nicer) bike out in a similar manner, but nothing happened to it. It really sucked. |

I have also had my shoes stolen... but I got them back a few days later...
I made the police file a report and they found another scooter that was like mine but much newer.
I just don't understand how someone could steal a scooter or even a motorcycle. I mean in canada I don't think this would happen so often as it does here. |

I had my scooter stolen down here in Jeju. I went to the police, filled out a report and had it back in 2 days. It was unregistered and had no plates. The police were efficient, helpful, and totally professional about it.

Poor disco!
I sympathise! I had 2 scooters stolen on me when I lived in Liverpool and had the unfortunate luck of chasing the skitters, who were on my scooter around my estate with a stick in my hand cos the always useful and reliable Police ( not) wouldn't come! Yes they nearly ran me over.............. |
