Something Homer Simpson might say:
"The best ones belong to other people." |

I agree with Homer Simpson LOL!!
I can't stand being near kids for even 3 minutes.
The absolutely drive me up the wall.
I've been lucky that I haven't had to teach kids even though that is where the future for EFL is in many of these countries.
It seems to me that kids teachers are the teachers who are most stressed out also. |

I'll jump in now.
Had to leave my lunch half eaten today because two adults (who should have known better) brought in 3 or 4 kids and they all starting talking about me in Korean then broke into a chorus of helloing -- I was trying to fucking eat but I figured "*beep* it. I'd rather be hungry than be the center of enter-fucking-tainment for the restaurant."
Children should not be seen until they're legal. |

Most kids are great. It's the evil ones that you have to watch out for. |

I know teaching adults is supposed to be the next closest thing to being paid for nothing but I find teaching kids is a breeze - it's the adults I can't figure out. |

| No... I enjoy them. But you've gotta lay down the law. Right from point go. Otherwise you are just looking for hell in a hand basket. And no one- Only the seriously mentally disturbed likes that. |

Amen. One of the major reasons I like living in my area is a distinct lack of young kids to get on my nerves. The straight out of high school college kids with there love of beige and fear of walking in a group of fewer than 8 people are bad enough. but young, young kids..... never again. never again. |

One of the best things about teaching at my uni is that we have the opportunity to teach kids now and then. Now, don't get me wrong, I LOVE teaching my uni students, but kids...they're a different ball game. They keep you on your toes!
I've often said that the difference between teaching kids and teaching uni students is with kids, you have to say "SIT DOWN!! SHUT UP!!!" and with uni students you have to say "WAKE UP!!!"
Both have advantages and disadvantages. |

I love kids.
I want to have my own someday.
BUT I'll remember to stop at 2, instead of having enough to fill a classroom. |

The younger they are, the more I like them. They're so cute.
The longer I teach them, the more I hope to have some of my own some day. I was actually jealous of my friend who got to take one of his students out to Seoulland one day.
Never thought I'd think that before I came here. |
