Oh yah, i almost forgot. Do people who spend $2.00 apiece on those little
bottles of Evian water know that spelling it backwards is Naive? |

I was buying 1.5 litre bottles of mineral water for less than 1000 won.
Call me reckless with cash if you want, but that sounds pretty reasonable. |

You can buy 6, 2-Liter bottles at Lotte Mart/ or E-Mart for about 2,700.
There's a reason people don't drink the tap water here. (or in most countries around the world, for that matter) |

We have a filter system. The Woongjin lady comes once a month to change the filter. I think we're paying 30,000 a month for it. |

Actually I just boil the tap water. Did the same in Jakarta for 2 years and never got sick. However, went swimming near Incheon last week and copped a big gob-full of West Sea brine. Now that is what I call a health risk! |

I got a Korean friend to phone and get me a hot/cold water dispenser. The deal is that I have to buy at least 1 18.9L bottle of water a week at 5000w each. I guess I could've bought one used and still had the guys bring me water. I just put an empty outside and they replace it with a full one Monday mornings. |

Actualy you don't even need to get the hot and cold dispenser. I've got a little hand pump that goes onto the bottle. the pump cost me around 15,000,and when I priced the hot and cold dispensers they were in the 200,000 range. |

Good advice. I'm moving in a month. I think I'll check out that pump. Using 18.9 liters of water a week requires a certain talent, even for two thirsty people, when the weather is cool. Thanks Peppermint. |

Out in the country people fill up at medicinal water springs...maybe you could argue about whether that's safer than tap water, but I haven't gotten sick yet and I've drunk quite a lot of the stuff. |

Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought that the tap water is pretty safe from germs but is contaminated with lead. Boiling won't get lead out and I doubt if filters will either. I drink it sometimes anyway... |

The dog sometimes drinks it if he has a chance, but we never (the better half and I) do. |
