i've seen that spot. it's really cool, it's near some institute of technology plaza or something.
it has really long and mellow hubba-hideout style ledges and some small step dropoffs. also, people have built/salvaged little funbox obstacles. the dudes i saw there were ripping. |

i used to rollerblade back in the day when aggressive skating started to have it's origins of it's evolution...check 1993/1994, right when soul grinds came out...i got a lot of people in my city into it and as everything evolved we tried to innovate and of course kept up with the times as things were changing fast...
i was in a couple of NISS competitions (National Inline Skate Series) that were on ESPN, since this was before ASA or X-games was around...
i was there when jon julio fucking unleashed unity grinds to the public and jason marshal was doing backslides down kinked rails...
later the new school had settled in, most other rollerbladers were gay and we herbed them out as i ended up moving and sessioning parks more often, most of my friends ended up being skaterboarders who at first used to talk shit and have the normal skateboarder ignorance but then they ended up respecting the shit me and my friend were doing since we were the only ones rippin' it like we were...i used to skateboard a little bit too and don't get it twisted, that shit is difficult and technical as *beep*...
and yes, the whole ideals and concepts in inlines were stolen from skateboarding...
it's been many years now, i miss the days of travelling around california hitting up spots then moving to ny and killing manhattan...it's probally been around 5 years now but i can pretty much guarentee you could give me a new pair of skates and give me a month to break them in and get re-aquainted with it all and i would wreck someone like customX...you just sound like a typical rollerblading nerd no offense...
understand your posistion, instead of being a whinny little fruiterbooter crying about skateboarders not liking you, get some skills and style and rise above the nonsense, of course there will still be the little trendy 15 year old skateboarding poser who might want to talk shit but just ignore the bullshit and do you...
Peace. |

| Olympic park has a reasonable skatepark. Near Tobongsan Station is one of the best parks around. Nice solid ramp feel and good coping. Waaaaay out towards Incheon there's a sweet park inhabited by BMXers (check the 4130Bike shop in Apkujeong) I'd set a time to meet up and skate, but I'm back in the ol' USof A now.Skate and Destroy [/img] |

generally the animosity directed at AGGRESSIVE INLINERS can be summed up like this:
1. black plasticky goop from rollerblades left on curbs, coping, ledges etc. that skateboarders have worked for years to render skateable/safe
2. said black plasticky goop all over facilities that skateboarders (through years of municpal level activism - like since 1981) have tried to get built.
3. "blades only" paid indoor skateparks.
so it's a territory/dues thing for the most part. it's not how "gay" a maneuver is or how long you've been plying your craft... it's the attitude that bladers SEEM to have (i use the word seem because many fruitbooters are pretty cool and appreciate this argument) that they can just come in and wreck a spot and expect to be universally accepted even though their presence in these spots is about five minutes old compared to skateboarding.
in the grand scheme of things nobody gives a shit what you do in your spare time. so you fruitboot. "DO YOU LIKE SLAYER" is a way more earth shaking issue. |

| STFU AND RIDE!!! Watever it is you ride...stop knocking on something others enjoy doing...No matter what you ride, If you can ride and tear it up then ppl will definitely respect you be it a skateboarder or a rollerblader. Running your mouth off has the exact opposite effect... |

Plus when he catches a super gnarly air he'll be all set for space travel! May the force be with that dude. Do you have any more pictures of your friends acting tough with old men? |

if your friend punched a bird then i would believe he was awesome.
anyone who punches a bird has POWERS. he's already from space, so i'm assuming he can do many interesting things. |
