Real reality, Why are you so obsessed with what Korean Professors make? You are not Korean and you are not a professor. Like millions of Koreans you are not even a regular employee. A more meaningful comparison would be with what you made or could make in your home country. I think it's a pretty safe bet that your job in Korea is the best job you've ever had. Please do contradict me and provide some details about the lucrative career you gave up to come to Korea. I really doubt that you are qualified to be a real professor at home. Why should you expect a Korean university to bestow that honor upon you? You have often criticized the quality of Korean Universities. What would you suggest? That they raise their standards by getting rid of unqualified staff such as yourself, or lower their standards even further and let people like you be fully tenured professors?
