That's a good question. I've been thinking the same thing. I have a very large, long *beep*, and regardless of any teaching ability I may or may not have, I think 2.4 is a reasonable salary for someone with a pleasure animal my size. Wouldn't you agree that I should use my awe-inspiring love lever to work for me in negotiating a salary? I'm not trying to say I'm a tripod or anything, but I figure if I can satisfy the hogwan director's wife, her sister, her sister's best friend, the goat at the grandfather's farm, and a student or two, I may as well ask them for a higher pay as well.

After all, it's done most of my thinking and talking for me up to this point. It's so big that I often have trouble thinking straight, because so much blood rushes to it when I get an erection that I usually faint. I've even taught it to whistle.

What do you think?

This is the first post I've ever read that I wished was mine!

No need for anyone else to post more since I think I got the answer to my question already.

no reason to jump all over me. chill out. i was just asking a question. and HELLO, some of you never even read my post. i never claimed to be super hot or anything, i said i am 23, and under my name it says i am from seattle. i can already speak pretty good korean, considering that i have taken 3 years of it at my university. so please dont say im in for a huge shock when i come to the country. i think i have a good grasp on what the korean culture is like. about 90% of my friends are korean, i eat out at korean restaurants all the time, been to Ktown in LA I dont even remember how many times...the point is that I feel im pretty prepared to come to the country. I was just trying to obtain more information on an area that I am not quite familiar with. Some of you may think that I am immature, but isnt that typical since there are many of you in your late 20's, 30's and 40's? I dont mind getting a job for 2.0, hell, thats the amount that im expecting to get. But I figured that if its possible to negotiate for more, then why not? Besides, theres nothing wrong with negotiating. If you get a salary offer back here in the States for a corporate job, do you immediately take it? I know I would try to sell myself and try to get more if I felt like I deserved it.

You said NOTHING in your original post about being able to speak Korean, or about your qualifications to teach. All you did was stroke your ego, and tell us how much you 'deserve' to get, based on your looks(!).

Korea's got enough losers with an attitude and no teaching ability. Stay home, your type gives us a bad name.

GJ CustomX. I graduated with a perfect 4.0GPA from harvard univerity in the field of advancedhyperspatial engineering. I have a large harem of women, including Koreans (yes, BoA Valenti is one of them). I have a 12" rooster. And I am a billionaire.

You can be whoever you want to be on the internet.

Last Name: Yun
First Initial: D

Im the last person listed. When my NOQT (Navy Officer Qualiftying Test) scores are posted online, I'll provide a link to that too just so you know im not lying. Good thing I never said I had a 12" thing cuz i dont want to post a pic of that

Yun?? As in you are ethnically Chinese-American? Danny, I don't care how hung or hot you think are, you definitely ain't gettin any extra crumbs thrown your way from a Korean director. I'm sure that you're a handsome devil in your circle back home, but anybody that looks a slightly different shade of white has one helluva time getting work here. That's the reality of it over here. Be happy with 1.7, if you even get an offer. You spoke about doing your research, but you didn't know that your ethnic background will seriously impede your ability to get a response from a recruiter, let alone anything 2.1+? This is *beep*-ing Korea. Shocked Rolling Eyes

Boy- do a quick search on what's been said lately over on the General Forum about mixed races, and that oughta give you a better idea. The only way good looks matter for a man here is if he's got big blue eyes, and even then, it's more about meeting girls and getting privates.

. and i have done my research, i know that black people have a hard time getting job, so do people with accents, and females are usually preferred over males.

I really hate to bust your bubble, but you're gonna have a really hard time on the job hunt here. I used to get so many resumes from Kyopos and Asian-Americans. Even people that could pass as being white in the US. I couldn't push them on any school, ever. You won't even be able to find private work, if you came in on a tourist visa. If you want to make money in ESL, I'd recommend going to a place that doesn't have a fixation on how white a person looks. Japan, nope. Taiwan, nope. And take out Korea, and then that's the big 3 over here. Vietnam is up-and-coming and is starting to pay out $1000-1200US/mnth and is more tolerant on appearance. China will take you, but that's for $500-600/mnth.

Honestly, though, I think you will find yourself just getting frustrated and disappointed looking for work here. If you can do it, please PM me with the recruiter's name that got you the gig. I have 50+ people back home that don't look the part and couldn't find a way in.
