Perhaps people excited by this thread, new to Korea, and / or looking to make new friends didn't see it that way. This thread wasn't for for you, it was for them.

The man asked a question and I answered it. My reply was intended in jest. Lighten up. It's a discussion board. Anyone can respond to any thread. I WAS KIDDING AROUND! In the interest of fairness, why aren't you critizing PT's and the Beaver? Sad

Okay you made your point. Now go and jump down PT's and the Beaver's throats for a while.

Wink I include them in my criticism. Well, see below. I think we'll leave it at that. Someone wants to hook up. Now lets leave them alone.

I can't imagine anyone here lives in Gongju so it'd be a treat if anyone responds, but I'd love to meet some people there to go out with on weekday evenings to eat and drink. Hope to hear from one or more of you.

I'm in Ulsan if anyone wants to go out and pitch boomerangs at the fields by the river/Taehwa bridge/hotel, my hobby these days.

well, yippie! some replies! i have been hanging out with my friend-less self for about 6 weeks, and i'd really like to go for a few drinks with someone other than my boyfriend (not that he isn't cool, but some new faces might be nice). i don't expect we'll all be best friends just because we're all teachers, but maybe we could meet up and have a few pints (or some bbq & soju?). i suggest an upcoming friday (i'm always free.. sob, sob). what do you seoulites think? and where is central for everyone?

Hey im a guy from Leeds, England - been here in Seoul teaching for a couple of weeks...would definately be good to meet up with some people for a few beers. Live in Macheon Dong (end of the purple line/ end of the world according to the korean teachers at my school) but message me and we can get together wherever....also if theres a few people getting together i'd be well up for that too.

Cheers, see you later.

I'm tired of going to Daegu, or having my friends from there come up. I live on line 2 in Seoul.

I am in the heart of Busan, and am definitely up for meeting some people for drinks and a chat.

qt_pi, what do you think? Do you know of any others in the area?
