Have you ever seen Korean women hitting men (Korean or foreign)?

Today, I saw this Korean woman hitting a Korean man. He took it without hitting or yelling at her but he looked like he was hurt. He could hardly walk into the subway. Later, I witnessed this petite Korean woman hit her foreign boyfriend so hard that he stumbled across the aisle and hit the wall.

In the evening, a Korean woman was shouting in Korean at her date. I think she was berating him for not complimenting her. He looked embarrassed and humiliated. The yelling and shouting went on for several minutes.

Was today abuse your male date day?

Its shyness. Korean women often don't express themselves well, and play the part of princess wallflower. They let things build up, and then bang, you see a fireworks display every so often.
Also I think they take a fair bit of abuse from men anyway here, so they tend to pass it on to good guys, who will take it without giving them a black eye.

Funny I saw some woman laying into some poor guy today. Just yelling at him at the top of her lungs while he and their child (I assume) were walking away.

Is there a full moon tonight?

If one of my gfs ever hit me, I would kiss her. It works. Make sure to put one hand on her ass as you're doing this. Twisted Evil
Of course, this is back in good old North America, so I have yet to see how this would work in Korea.

I've actually had an ex girlfriend show up at my door at 1 am, pissed drunk on Soju, 3 months after we had broken up and start to shout at me. At the time I didn't understand a lot of Korean so had no idea what was going on. After 10 minutes of shouting at me she then decided to break all the beerbottles, that my roomates had left by the door by throwing them against the wall. Trying to gently calm her down only resulted in me getting whacked with her shoe. So I let her rant and continue to break all the bottles. After she decided she had had enough she left but on her way out of my building she through something (a rock I presume) through the glass door. I had no idea why this happened, she broke off with me and it was pretty amicable.

But, seriously, Koreans are just a very physical bunch of people. Always found a 'hands on' approach worked best with my Korean friends and students. Do get away with alot more here than you would back home.

Wouldn't take the girl hitting the guy thing too seriously. From my experience with getting punched, beaten and smacked around by my Korean female friends I would say they are just having fun with people they trust.

Of course if the situation were reversed and it were the women who were being pushed, hit, etc we would probably have our boxers in a bind.
Love those double standards.

100% agree with you. Early Sunday morning after the bars, my buddy heard some screaming outside and yells to me "Get over here... cat fight" I head over to the window and look down. There are 2 Korean ladies, about 25 years old, there along with a male friend. The one girl had the other one in a chin lock, was hitting her, throwing her shoes at the other girl, and screaming bloody murder at her.

From what I could tell, the one girl wanted to drive her car home and the other friend would have no part of it. She just kept yelling "Shut up, let's go" While this is going on, the man had no part of it. He just stood there, arms folded watching the whole thing. Only at the end, did he retrieve the shoes. That has been my experience so far here in Korea. Two girls are fighting, the Korean man just stands back and watches. Laughing

Is that really limited to Korea?

Hence the smily face at the end.

It doesn't matter where a man is from. We all know to stand back and admire a good cat fight when we see them.

Oh yeah, nothing like a good cat fight. Women really know how to get nasty. Best one I saw (and I have seen plenty in Korea) was on Texas Street in Busan. Two girls were going at it. Throwing each other into merchandise displays, head butting each other, one girl kept smacking the other girls head into a 'brick' wall. And a whole bunch of guys - navy, army, Korean, non-Korean - just stood around and watched.
(there was one guy who tried to break up the fight, but he was pushed back by a Korean man who, it was rumoured, was the girls' pimp)
