I will be switching one of my computers to Linux, but am having a difficult time deciding which one.
I've heard of Lindows, but did not like what I read about it.
I heard, and read a lot about Red Hat, but came to the conclusion that it's mostly for servers and would not be viable for a desktop.
So now I'm torn between Debian and SuSe. Which one is easier to work with? |

Redhat being more for servers? Where did you get that idea?
There is the fedora project, it's also from Redhat but FREE (not as in free beer!).
Anyway, if you have a computer to spare, why not download several distributions and toy around with them a little.
Mandrake is really userfriendly and desktop oriented.
Or try one of the Linux cd projects (you put a cd in the computer and boot from it) they give you a great way to toy around with Linux.
I like mac OS/X though |

I've had some good experiences with Debian, although I'm no expert by any means.
