Yes, I have an E-2 visa, an alien card, and a China visa. The only thing I need is the re-entry. The people that told about the re-entry are also new b's so I guess that's the only thing they knew. But all of the advice was so helpful. You guys rock and now I can go on my trip.
Enjoy your thanksgiving!!! |

| I'm going to China this weekend and my flight is at 9:30 on Sunday. Does anyone know what time the immigration office at the airport opens and on what days? I'm not sure whether to get my re-entry permit at my local office (which is far from my place) or at the airport. |

.....
btw- you have to do this before you check in |
One time - before I knew - I did not do this before check-in. I had got to the immigration desk and the officer there told me I needed one if wanted to return! Anyway, Korean Air Lines escort (very pretty too) back through security, to the immigration office, dragged to the front of the queue, stamp stamp (no money that I recall, but I'm bad about such trifles), back to security through the crew section, right to the front, right to the front of immigration, then personal vehicle to get to the gate in time .... bloody fine service all round ... and it was all my fault .
But I was smiling, 'cos I'm a happy soul .... |
