Hey gotkd2000 and popper1976 Very Happy Have either of you found jobs as yet? My partner's brother is job hunting and having a slow time of it. He's even had a recruiter tell him not to bother because he isn't white. Any suggestions for my brother "in-law"?

thanks

ps popper are you still in San Diego?

If you're a kyopo with a good degree that speaks fluent korean, I wouldn't accept anything less than 30,000 per hour. If you're from a stud school, make it 35,000 to start. (Harvard, yale, stanford etc.)

CDI pays the most but I hear they've become rather Orwellian over there.

There's a test prep called Hoya, but their wangjang is a god freak. My interview there consisted of him giving me a half hour lecture on how christianity has saved his life. If that's your thing, I think they pay pretty well.

I know of a place called EG hagwon that was looking for kyopo's at the right price, but I don't know if they're hiring right now (if not, wait a while and something will open up eventually)

Some of the bigger places like YBM, SISA, and maybe Pagoda, have test prep programs that will pay you ok. But watch out, don't even bother to talk to their conversation divisions as they'll pay you less than whitey, for no reason.

There's probably some more middle school type hagwons and daechi that'll pay you right. Just search here on dave's and that other place. or you might check out the Hiseoul website too.

I haven't really looked at it so I don't know what's there.

good luck. And don't settle, just wait.
