I haven't tried dog yet, but I'd sure like to try it if I get the chance. But I'm surprised by how many people here have tried it. More than half!
By the way I like your story about your pet chicken. Maybe I'll get a pet chicken some day. |

BUT, don't get one. You have to hatch it yourself. Then, it will think you are its mother.
But, a real chicken mother will start to peck and chase off her chicks when they are a about 6 weeks old. Then, as adults (full grown at age 5 months and the hens can lay eggs and the Roosters can fertilize) mothers and children keep their distance.
BUT, I NEVER pecked or chased off my Peep Peep, or any of the ones I hatched later. So, then, even at age 15, they will continue to follow you around like babies. And fly up and land on your shoulders. And then, have a little bit of sibling pecking to see who gets the best spot to roost. Which, of course, was on top of my head. 
Chickens are my favorite people.

In France (I don't know for the rest of Europe) we eat horses as well. And frogs. And snails too. And even rabbits. Can you imagine that ? The world is insane. |

OOPS. You have a time zone problem. My post was an hour after yours. But, it could not have been at 3:00AM. I only use the dorm or library comp rooms. Dorm closes when they feel like it, but usually between 7-9PM Library closes at 11PM. So, depending on where I was, my latest post would be 11PM in Korea. So, your 2am had to be 10PM or so,
So. Yes, so what? Do I really care? I am getting a headache. Time zones and time travel are too much for my bird brain.

What took you so long to answer? Like many wings, it was probably from a hen that used to be used for egg production, but got too old. But, that happens fast in the commercial egg laying business. I have no idea how they discovered the "technology" but, they do get them to lay about 3 eggs a day. But, how did they ever come up with the system and how and why it works I do not know. You see, they take 5 hens that are egg laying age. Then they cut off their faces. Put then in a small cage so they are sort of smashed together. Then, they keep then under bright light 24/7. All of that, for some reason, makes them eat food and lay eggs around the clock. After about 2 months of this, they are basically skin and bones. Then they become dog food. You know, when it says on the lable, chicken by products. Now this time the is for real.

They aren't under light 24/7. The uses lights to create 2 cycles of light and dark per day and the chickens lay accordingly. I've never heard of the face cutting thing -- they're usually stuffed into small cages where they can't move.
The chicken wings in question (mine) are from the chickens they cut up for breasts and legs and are allowed to move around. |

Well, this is fun and all, but I have to get going. I am in a bit of a rut, but my Sunday night tradition is to go to E-mart and get a roast chicken for dinner. Nothing at all like the great oak wood roasted chicken I used to get in Pusan, but Kwangju is very different. CIAO.

Oh it was my lucky night. I spent just a little too much time posting. Thank you Beaver .
Just missed the last roast chicken at E-Mart. So, I figured, tuna and noodles and eggs combo. again.
But. Oh, joy, oh heaven oh "almost" rapture. I get back to campus and, for only the 3ed time in a year, was THE ROAST CHICKEN TRUCK. And, only 5,000 won (not that I give a rats %^&$^* how much it costs). I would pay much more. Um, maybe 20,000.
But, it is home cooling down, too hot for me. And I am in the library lobby. Need to send a fast email, then FINGER LICKIN Good. And, it has been so long since I had a good tender juicy roast chicken (E-Mart chicken is over cooked and dry) I don't care how it died  .

| I just had dog for dinner Saturday. I have not had it for a few years. It really tastes better than I remembered. There is no bad smell. The only thing I don't like eating is the skin, not because it is dog's skin, but because it is skin. |
