You can now get 'em for like 75,000 won at Carrefor.
I hate that name. The way Koreans pronounce it is so different, they never know what the heck you're talking about when you try to say the name.
It sounds something like GA-REE-PO to them... |

How did you learn how to hack the player? Did you find the information somewhere? Did you go through hours and hours of trial and error? |

Google it. Type in "DVD multiregion hack" and your player model number or something along those lines. You won't find one for every player but you'll find a lot of them. |

It wasn\'t the same Phillips one, Kratz... it was one of the Chinese brands.. Sillady, I think. I don\'t think they\'re that cheap at the moment... maybe 86,000+.
I\'m selling mine for 50,000 if anyone cares to check out the ad in the BUY/SELL section. |

I was at Linko in Coex Mall this week. They had two different DVD players on sale......one for 88,000 and one for 146,000. The cheaper one was more compact. Not sure what brands. After I move I'll get one. Can you really go wrong for 88,oooWon?

To the people who have bought the Philips DVD player reccomended by Walter Mitty. Have you had any problems with it. Any complaints. I am thinking about buying it and before I do I want to know how reliable it is.
Thanks |

I just got the Philips DVP 320 at Walmart for 128,000.
So far it's been great. After you get over the surprise that it looks like the old Playstation!!! It did refuse a couple of 800MB VCD's I burned on my computer. I thinks that's to be expected. |

Got one in the States super cheap ($59? can't remember exactly) and am loving it. It's a funky bright orange and silver colour. The region hack works just fine. Love the remote control- wish they'd make them that small for my tv/vcr/stereo. |

I bought one of the DVP-320s some time ago and it's still working great. The only drawback (and Walter Mitty mentioned this) is that while it has composite video output, there's no S-video output. |
