| I am from Istanbul and I crave for some good real Iskender Kebab with yogurt and butter tomato sauce on warm pita bread!!! Yum!! |
That sounds really really good! I'm a half-Turk and lived in Istanbul for three years -- loved the food sooo much (so much better than Korea, especially). Iskender was definately my favorite.
So what's up with this Turkish restaurant in Itaewon? Is it still open? I didn't even realize there was Turkish food in Korea. What do they have there? Are there other Turkish restaurants that I don't know about? |

I don't know of any others but the Salam restaurant in Itaewon is excellent. Only one complaint, they serve sticky asian rice. |

Sweet, I'll have to check that out. Thanx!
Sticky asian rice? With Turkish food? What's up with that? I like my rice long, thin, slightly buttered, and falling off the spoon. |

Nope, you can't import it to Korea, don't ask why. I've tried for 2 years. Had 3 different people try all with the same answer.

| there is another turkish restaurant in hannamdong, meant to be over priced and pretty ordinary. There is also another near kangnam station, but Im not sure were as the directions were pretty seedy. A turkish mate of mine told me about it, and recommended it as the best in seoul |
