In my kindergarten classes we have one five year old who is learning English extremely rapidly. He had a hood on his sweat shirt and I asked him, "What is it?"

His response,"It is no hair." Had me laughing for a couple of minutes.

In a young (7-9 year olds) Spectrum Writing class, discussing the 5 senses, we were asked, "Can you touch an owl?"
All agreed we couldn't.
Why not?
Because the owl would fly away if you tried.
OK. What if the owl had broken wings and couldn't fly?
Nope, can't touch it.
Why not?
The owl would hop away if you tried.
mmHmm. Now the owl has broken wings AND broken legs. Can you touch it?
NO!

I'm getting curious now and ask, "Why not?"

One little genius tells me matter-of-factly as if I should have known..
Of course the owl would ROLL away from you!

I told a student I was playing pool the night before, and he asked me very innocently if I was playing "pocket pool".

Was going through a little worksheet and a student chose the wrong word.

"Excuse me. You're coming on my foot."

I had a high school student write me a love note, and tell me she wants to have "an intimate relationship" with me.

HHAHAHAhaahhaah!

The Korean dictionary translated it as "close friendship", but still it was funny.

One of my 9 year old students learned the words "my dear" Now whenever he talks to me he attaches the phrase to everything:
Whats for homework my dear?
Can I go to the bathroom my dear?
Can we go for ice cream my dear?
And one day last week when I was ill:
Are you ok my dear?

He is the sweetest thing I ever saw!!!
