this was posted a while back but i remember it as being real scary!

waegook guy and girl out for drinks and guy lives miles away so girl invites him to stay. nothing 'funny' going on, guy was to sleep on the floor. they get into the apartment and get ready for bed. guy goes in the bathroom first, does his stuff and then lies down on the floor next to the girls bed. as he rolls over, getting comfy, he looks under the bed as that is where his natural line of sight takes him, and he ends up eye to eye with a korean guy!!!

needless to say, he was up and away pretty damn quickly, dragging the girl out with him!!!

he'd obviously heard them coming in, shit himself, and put himself under the bed!!!

scary or what?!?!?

ps abridged version. my apologies if the original writer still posts and i have completely trashed their tale!!!

Drunks get confused and seem to wander into the wrong apartments on a relatively regular basis. They can be a pain in the butt to get rid of sometimes. Locking your door is a good precaution always. Especially if you're a girl. Actually I can't think of any reasonable reason why you would want to leave your door unlocked.
It CAN be a pain in summer though if you're on the ground floor sleeping with windows open. No real security if you know what I mean.

Since all Korean guys are (according to many of the male posters here) wimpy, limp-wristed, cowardly dolts, and all Western women weigh 300 pounds and are so ugly they could stop a train in its tracks, I really don't see why we have anything to fear from them? Laughing

I now count two divorced Korean women I've met who were beaten by their ex-husbands. I guess if you're slightly built, then you have something to worry about.

I don't know why anyone wouldn't lock their door, either. I knew a woman who didn't. I think it was because she was making a statement. 'I live in a perfect world, and my trust is like good karma I emanate'. Then she started locking her doors and even then has had her house broken into twice. She was also a nudist. Laughing

I had a friend who wouldn't lock his car door. He had some rational for it. I forget his line of argument. "I drive a Toyota, no one targets Toyotas." Weak. He had a radio and some weird device that governs your speed. Had. One day I got in his car and there was nothing but wires hanging out of the dashboard. He started locking his car door after that.

My partner and I lived in Korea three years ago. We lived in a "small" town of about 300 thousand.
One night we went out and got quite drunk, stumbled home at 3am and past out...I was awoken from a deep drunk sleep to find a Korean man crouched next to my bed with his hand down my underwear, and his fingers in places they should not have been! Mt scream awoke my partner who bolted up in bed and began yelling at the intruder. The intruder leapt to his feet, and was out the door in a flash. We discovered he had taken my partners wallet, my camera and my bra (VERY CREEPY!)
All of our windows had bars on them except one, he somehow managed to get that one open (we were not even aware that it did open!) and that is how he got in the house. We never knew how long he had been in our house while we were sleeping. It was a horrible experience. I know bad stuff can happen anywhere, I have never blamed Korea for what happened. This is just a reminder to be on guard no matter where you are. You would assume you would be safe in bed next to your boyfriend right? Well what happen really messed with my sense of security, that is for sure.

Everyone keeps making the comment "Well why wouldn't you lock your doors?" and so on...

Well, duh... Only an idiot wouldn't. The thread was intended to be a reminder because when you're home during the evening it's easy to let your guard down and maybe once or twice someone forgets. It could be that one time that some creep wanders into your house as you're sleeping or in the shower or participating in any other activity that could possibly prevent you from defending yourself to the best of your ability. Although maybe the sight of some people in the shower would be enough to send the creep running.

Yes, everyone knows to lock the doors. I'm just saying don't let your guard down, that's all.
