being a veggie in korea sucks and is very hard. it took me 6 months before i knew where to go for food. so many times i've ordered food "no gogi, no singsong, no ham" and still comes with shrimp or some other animal product in it.
anyway, i'm down for veggie food, although i do they have a menu aside from the buffet? i don't do buffets. |

Yes, Chakraa's an Indian place, and they do have a regular menu with lots of veggie options besides the buffet. The staff speak pretty good English, so you can ask what they'd reccomend too.
Since there are a few Indian places in the area, and this one is relatively new, why don't we meet at Itaewon Station. If we can get a head count and a time set by say, next Thursday afternoon, I'll call and make reservations for us and warn them to have lots of veggie dishes ready. |

Erm, I'm all up ons that, but just to be sure, where in Itaewon station.. I've only been there once, and I remember stairs leading up to an intersection with a Burger King.. is that about right? |

| well, since there's only one way from the tracks to the ticket booth- maybe we should meet there. I'll try to sketch up a map later, and I'll give my cell # to anyone who PMs and asks for it. |

Bump! Not sure I'll be able to make it- a lot depends on the time, but this should help the directionally challenged.

So....
Saturday the 9th?
How does 7 p.m. sound to people?
Meeting place: ticket booth until 7, restaurant after that? (thanks for the great map, peppermint!)
Head count: just how many are sure they're coming? Peppermint needs real #s to call Chakraa with a total. (I'll go even if it's just Kermo & myself--she's a hoot!)
Count me in. |

Thought I'd let you know about a veggie place in Insadong called Sanchon.

I only have one head. Please count it. But do you count it as "hana" or "il"? |

I'm up for it with my friend. So that's two more. Looking forward to it!
Went to Sanchon this weekend - its got a really nice atmoshpere and is good food. I think the guy that tuns it has written a veggie cookbook - will try and get a copy. |
