I used to be able to check the homepages of some Korean friends of mine on cyworld. However, I don't seem to be able to do it anymore. I went to the homepage and tried to open the pages of those who were profiled for that day, and I can't open those either. Do I need some kind of software to open cyworld pages? Do I need to be a member? It always worked before, but I guess that was a few months ago since I last checked.

Does anyone know what I need to do to open the pages?

Did you install a pop-up blocker?

Yeah, but I enabled pop-ups for that site. Is that enough?

It should be, although the domain name for the main cyworld page (the page you enabled) could be different than the one for the homepages.

This is the only explanation I can think of. I just checked a friend's page and it popped up no problem.

I do remember Cyworld being a bit weird about that for a while, sometimes it would make you write
nate.cyworld.com/username

instead of just

www.cyworld.com/username

But I haven't seen any problems for the past few months or so.
It is annoying how they sometimes have to shut the whole thing off for five or six hours during the middle of the night to work on technical problems.

I've been getting most of my signatures for my petition through Cyworld.

That's an actual cyworld site. Smile

It must be my new computer then. I've disabled any pop-up protection, but it still doesn't work. When I type in someone's homepage, the main background screen comes, but the actual smaller window, which is the actual homepage, does not appear. The only thing I can get is a little announcement in Korean in the upper-left corner. When I click on it, it gives me this:

Quote:

I don't know Korean. Is this telling me how to fix my problem, or is it something else entirely?

Ok, thanks anyway guys. I guess there's something installed in my computer that won't let me pop the pages up, and I can't find it. I guess I'll just have to go to a PC Bang to check the Cyworld pages. No big deal I guess, just a little inconvenient.
