this has jogged my memory... I've been told it involves soju, vaseline, a frypan and a syringe. They melt the vas down in the frypan, stick in in the syringe, swig the soju for some dutch courage, stick the needle in their wang and wait for the vas to firm up.
voila instant penile disfigurement |

as for the beads in the guy's willy, that is a practice that dates from 14th-15th century China....it was done for obvious reasons to enchance a woman's pleasure...
anyway, they were usually tin or gold beads, sometimes hollow with a grain of sand inside...that would cause a nice "chiming" sound when the guy was walking or swinging his willy
those Chinese are quite innovative |

| The Yakuza are 10x more brutal than the petty street gangs of compton. They also hold wayyyyyy more power. They could buy compton if they wanted to. |
Isn't it amazing how people love gangsters and glorify the most brutal savage aspects of the human psyche. How many bestselling books have been written about Hitler, idi Amin, etc etc...people are fascinated.. How much fan mail from women do serial killers in jails in the U.S get? Loads..
How many people gloat with pride about how their country's gangsters are the toughest, meanest most savage ones in the world?
Is this what we all secretly aspire to? |

Ill admit, that was funny.
The fact is with the Yakuza is that they dont usually become violent... quite often they will seem to 'lose it' and that is enough to keep people intimidated. Look at the (low) murder rate in Japan and it should be pretty clear that the Yakuza dont go around killing people when they can avoid it. Generally the yakuza will harrass people until they give in. And yeah, I have met Yakuza. I have met a leader of the (Yokohama area) Yakuza when I was living in Japan (we lived in the same neighbourhood). I dont think I was disrespecting you - I was pointing out that you werent qualified to make an informed comment on a subject that you know nothing about, which you admit in your post. |

Are you proud of this? I suppose you shook his hand as well.
I've met Mugabe of Zimbabwe, a real gangster. If it wasn't for his huge entourage of AK47 -toting bodyguards, I would have delighted in flattening him into the ground for all the deaths and misery he has caused. |

| Funny thing is, when I started this whole comparison with Compton I was speaking of KOREAN gangs not the Yakuza. Big fucking difference. Take a Korean gangster and throw him into Compton and HE would not last a day. I never even mentioned the Yakuza. I don't know where you got that from. |

Considering that there are Korean gangs active in the Los Angeles area and that the population of Compton is now overwhelmingly Mexican/Centro-South American, someone somewhere has probably studied this. |

I think it's all relative. If you throw just one gangster into anybody else's territory and looking for trouble, odds are they wouldn't last a day.
Although, it's safe to say that the Korean mob doesn't have the reputation for brutality that the Triads do.
As one of the other posters have mentioned, I have heard that the Koreans were having trouble with the Russians. I know that the Russians bailed a few of the gangsters out a few years ago, buying up Nightclubs to help fight off rival gangs. A friend and I were talking about how the Koreans would be in for a surprise when they attempted to buy out the Russians a few years later. Maybe that is what has happened now. |

Dude, chill....'weren't qualified to make an informed comment' this isn't the debating hall of Oxford University, what do I need- a doctorate in Gang Studies? I'd say to have an opinion I don't need anything, the fact that I have actually read a book or two on it doesnt mean I know it all but by the very nature of a forum I can share my (semi) ignorant views with everyone else........
If people had to be 'qualified' in the field of the OP to comment on it then this message board would have very few replies (except on the job-related board, at least I hope so)..............so calm sweetie, its going to be okay, I think The Albanians could have the Turkish Heroin gangs anyway, but depending on battle location the Yardies might be in with a shout, who gives a *beep* really?
Incidently the disrespecting you comment was a joke in keeping with the 'gangland' nature of the post. Commenting on my knowledge of the Yacuza, or percieved lack of it, isn't gonna keep me awake at night...... |

But I don't see many American guys walkin' around sewing stuff into their junk to please their women...
Asian sisters got it made... |

This is why you've got to love Dave's- you go from someone spotting it in the sauna to a full explanation and testimony in 3 easy pages.

beast: A korean (raised in japan i presume) was the leader of the Yakuza's biggest faction:yamaguchigummi (or something like that).

-- judging by the fact that my favorite books, movies and tv programs all relate to the mob (italian and asian), i think that's a fair assumption.
Maybe it's not the mob per se, but the power and wealth that comes with it. Everyone wants to be tony montana, tony soprano or michael corleone for a day or two.
BTW-- anyone looking for a good mob read-- "chasing the paper fan" by terry gould. It's about one of the top triads in Vancouver faking his own death and a reporter on his case. True story too. Lots of insight of the history of the triads and other organizations.
Anyone recommend any other mob books (preferably asian)? I was considering buying "the family" and "omerta" by Puzo.. but didn't get around to it. |
