If my thai friend has a passport does she need any other documents to come and visit me in korea? She will be staying for about 2 weeks.

Check the Korean embassy website, it should have what your looking for. But she will most likely need a visa as she is not from a Western country.

Does anyone know where my friend can get a visa? And do i need to do anything here in korea. I heard about this "invitation letter" that she must have when leaving her country. Does anyone has or knows a thai person who came to korea? And what did they need to come here?

All I know is its pretty hard..
she will need to go to the Korean embassy in thailand,,
and the invitation letter might help. but a single girl coming to korea..
is like a single korean girl trying to go to the USA.. acually its harder!

anyway first call the thai embassy here.. have her call the korean embassy there..
Its not impossible.. just little difficult.. but im sure you will get her here..

She's not moving here. She's just on holiday. I've met plenty of people here from SE Asia on tourist visas.

Itaewon guy is way off on this. My Thai girlfriend has come here 3 times. She has never arrived with a visa, just a valid passport. Each time she has received a 3 month tourist visa. Make sure she has a return ticket as that is the most important part. I always included a letter from my school stating she was visiting me and I was their employee and would vouch for that and a contact #. I don't believe they ever looked at that though, just the return ticket.

I think Itaewonguy missed the part of the OP that said she was coming for a holiday based on his responses.

I've know a few guys and one girl who have seen their Thai friends turned down for entery to Korea. Just don't be too surprised if it happens, it's not totally unlikely, but good luck.

Itaewon Guy.. not all Thai girls are bar-girls! That's a bit narrow-minded of you. My wife (before she was my wife), got a 90 day visa everytime she came over. Saying that, she was well-travelled, had a valid work visa for the US and lots of stamps from all over the world. Definitely not a 'bar girl' dude!

Godzilla is correct here. My Thai fiance is an amazing woman and certainly not a bar-girl. There are many beautiful, educated Thai women with a decent set of values. If you just go over there as a tourist and hang out in bars you are only really seeing a slice of Thailand, not the whole mango.

I was using BArgirls as an example.. not being narrow minded..
sorry you took offence
of course thailand has more to offer than sex and drinks in bars!

I was using the bar girls as an example becuase this is what happend to my friends.. I should have used the other friend who was bringing his thai
fiance over.. he too also had some trouble.. but finally got her here..

Thailand is Amazing, of course it has so much to offer.. I have been there before.. and I never even stepped foot into a sex district. can find sex anywhere. but its not everyday you can ride elephants through the jungle or go snorking in paradise...

I think it was narrow minded of you.. to think that I only thought thailand had sex to offer and nothing else.. pleeeeeaaaaase!!!

I agree completely with Itaewonguy on this. He cited an example of what happened to a couple friends... no where did he suggest the bargirls represented all of Thailand. He's right in stating that it is more closed minded to think he thought that way.
