You're joking I take it... Smile

There are a lot of buildings in my neighborhood that look exactly like mine. In fact, once I walked into the wrong one and didn't realize until my key didn't work.

When I was first here, I had to get my boss to come pick me up at the corner store and drive me one block to my apartment building cause I couldn't find it. Smile

Can someone show us an Officetel? I've actually never seen the inside of one. Or a goshiwon.

One thing I've learned in my travels of depressed third world nations like England and Mexico is the gross conditions most people are living in. Makes me very happy to be who and where I am.

Very good point, after 4 years in Mexico and 5 in Guatemala (even worse) before that I can honestly say that I love my Korean apartment. Only thing it doesn't have is my wife and kids, and I don't want to replace any of them.

Here's the Officetel. I quite like it, it's clean and modern and bright. I've heard koreans aren't into them though, as they don't feel like a "home."

suits me fine:

You can access the rest of the site and see a bunch of video by going directly to www.seoulstream.com

I'm sorry the site is not very organized at the moment.

wow, derrek, your officetel looks nice. pretty high-tec bathroom. i can flush TP too! i like having the shower in the glass doors. i think the the only thing mine has over yours is that my bed is upstairs, out of the way...oh yeah, and i have a lot of storage space, three closets.

Do you live in Bundang?

I've heard that some other places have a "loft" where the bed can go. Gosh, I wish I had that. I'd feel like I was in college all over again!

Zzyfer lives in the same building.

You can see photos of the Sunae area if you look at the page after that.

I don't have a ton of clothing storage space. There is an access closet where the aircon fan goes, and I put stuff in there, but it's open to cold air from outside and collects lots of dirt. It's also very drafty in the winter, so I now sleep in the mini-kitchen just to stay away from the draft.

They seem to build these things quite quickly, and don't put much time into it.

SisterSarah,

I really like the look of your place. It's better than I had imagined. Can you entertain there?

yeah, i've entertained. like i said, it's good because the bed is upstairs, out of the way and i can throw anything up there if there's people coming over....there's a sofa and a leather chair, but usually we just sit on the floor, korean style.

Derrek,

Throw some color up on those walls! Looks like you're living in a "1984"- style, utilitarian nightmare. No wonder you never get laid.

I'm not much for decorating.

Besides, when the babes are over for a visit, it's dark. Wink

I have always been satisfied with my place until now. Thanks a lot sistersarah and Derrek. My place is so small. I don't have a closet. I have no storage space. My kitchen is almost no existent. And I pay a 50k/month maintenance fee but get no maintenance from it. Oh well, this place is still way better than my last one.
