Communication has always been an issue for me here in Korea, especially since my current place of employment is without any fluent English speaking personnel. So I did some research on the internet for a translation tool and came across this site.
http://www.worldlingo.com/products_services/worldlingo_translator.html
I have been using it for quite a while now and it has alleviated much of the difficult explanations/assignments/information presented to me on a daily basis. I realize that learning the language is a better solution to my communication difficulties but that's another post altogether.
Despite the programs obvious imperfections, it does get the main idea across for both myself and my colleagues. It has reduced my stress level dramatically and the number of misunderstandings have been significantly reduced. Give it a try and see how it works and keep in mind that it translates sentences and phrases as well as words.
I hope it helps those that are having communication problems.
If anyone knows of any other sites or programs or has any other suggestions post them on this thread. |

Well, first try.....
I typed in 'piss off' and got ȭ (hwa-na)...piss off isn't exactly, 'I'm angry.'
Oh well.
I guess gist is what it's shooting for, however.....
