Assuming your payday falls on a weekend, does your boss pay you before or after it? |

I've found that schools that are doing well will pay on friday. schools that aren't doing so will pay on monday. |

It's always been after, no matter the status of the school, in my experience. |

You should get paid on the business day following the 10th. This would be especially true if you work for a company or a school that has set up automatic withdrawls from its account. |

My present employer always pays before -- one reason I'm signing on for a third year here.
My first employer rarely paid on time even when payday fell on a weekday, and he never could seem to understand why none of his teachers would sign for a second year. Loser. |

My employer paid me the day before the Chuseok break even though my payday was not until October 2. (like 10 days early and time I hadn't yet worked.)
Likely because it is my first month and the school's first month and I am the only native speaker but even so I was impressed.
Of course it created the problem of a LONG time before the next pay period but that is my problem for poor planning/budgeting not his for being a great guy. (sure hope it lasts.) |

I disagree that if the school is good people should be paid early. If the school is good, the owner has a lot of money. If he has a lot of money, he probably is smart and has set up an automatic transfer to your bank account on payday because he does not have to worry about being overdrawn. If the payday is on a Sunday and the bank is closed, then the automatic transfer would occur on Monday. |
