Taejon police cracking down on prostitution traced a phone number and name from an out call service to a teacher at a university in Taejon. he was said to have used the service because he was lonely. His employer has since fired him. |

I thought teaching at the university level was like the most primo position for meeting the young eligibles. He must have been one filthy nasty piece of work... |

No, the filthy nasty piece of work would be the kind of guy who would abuse his position of authority to treat students like his personal harem. Haghwon teachers, well, maybe, even though that will also *beep* up the class dynamic, but universities?
Who knows, maybe the poor bastard called in a pro to help him out before he cracked under the temptation and started sampling the merchandise. I don't see the big deal at all, and if he confined himself to pros rather than co eds, I'd put him light years morally above the lecherous shit bags who hit on students who they have the power to fail if they get rejected. That's the really filthy nasty stuff. |

So, you don't get much play from your female students either, huh? |

Is this from personal experience or just what you guess?
I've been in the uni system three years. I never considered it and neither did any of my colleagues except one, and he got fired. You're right that uni's are a primo gig, and that's a reason to want to hold on to your job. Then there's the ethics issue. You have control over thier grades, and that affects their life and future in a rather big way. Plus, with the sheer amount of young hotties swanning about the hopspots on the weekend, it's kind of a mark of loserhood if you can't catch a fish in open waters ... |

Well, if it doesn't affect his performance as a teacher, I think it's ridiculous to fire him. |

Maybe it was in his contract, something about 'conserving his bodily fluids like a boxer'. No, not the dog breed. I had that contractual condition deleted at the outset, considered it unreasonable, dunno why. |
