It's come to my attention that it's getting bloody cold. I don't approve. Winter sucks.

I love winter! The colder the better (down to about -10 or so!)!!!!

I love snuggling under a warm blanket with some hot cocoa, my beautiful girlfriend, and a good movie! I can't wait for it to get to the real winter season!

I'm down in Ulsan. Asked the k-teachers two weeks ago and yes, they'd turned their ondol on.
I'm holding off til the last minute. Meanwhile the room in which my body is in is warm enough not to need the ondol, if that makes any sense Laughing

I don't buy that line for a second. It's waaaaaaaaaaay colder here in February than it is back on the Rock, but we get more snow and various kinds of frozen misery at home that they do here.

I'm for the pro-cold forces. Bein' from Canada 'n' all, winter here isn't totally brutal. Aside from that one super cold week last year around lunar new year, I found most days were warm enough to go jogging.

I love when it's cold enough to wear a sweater indoors and a fall coat. I like having additional pockets.

I come from the north of Australia where there's no such thing as winter. There's wet season, and there's dry season, but it's shorts and T-shirts all year round. I didn't see snow until I was 28. I thought it was quite interesting for an hour or so, but then I realized I couldn't feel my legs, and I decided that cold weather wasn't really that much fun.

Winter is a great tool for class discipline.

You all know that propaganda about Korea's 4 seasons but seems to me they're all about equally spaced & each has its charms. Agreeable climate all round I'd say.

All week I have been getting the strangest impulse that I should be back in college, going to classes, studying, getting ready for exams. I don't know why. It's this weird feeling, almost like a homing instinct or a mating instinct, I get every few years in September-October. Just this strange feeling that it's time for me to be studying.

I don't know what it is, or where it comes from. It's just...I feel the cold coming, feel the leaves are about to turn, notice the sun setting earlier and earlier. I've been teaching at the same children's hogwan for the past six months -- my first job in 6 years teaching kids -- and I notice some of them are getting taller, older, better at English. They're GROWING...and I just don't feel like this job is giving me a chance to grow.

All this week I've been perusing websites of my old university, departments, professors, and old girlfriends (some of whom are now professors). I really wish I was on a campus somewhere, studying I don't care what...anything as long as its not PoMo.

I think it's time to call it quits on this job.

Maybe I shouldn't have opened that bottle of wine tonight. Embarassed Laughing Crying or Very sad
