For Den & Mi-hwa's going away,we did 3 Alleys and then over to Bar Nana for the late -night closer. Guest appearances included Big Bill Beckerson, FierceInvalid, a verrryy well lit-up Zed, ReedTea, Harpeau, etc. Festive time!
(We missed Eammon, and unsure where TigerBeer even is at these dayz? Feel esp. bad about missing these 2, for while at 3 Alley, we saw what had to be one of the 3 hottest Thai girls I have ever laid I's on . . .)
Christina:ok, not only is she beautiful, but her waist is like a size 2, her but a heart-shaped size 4, and her boobs are like a gravity-defying size 16!
Nana: The actual place is small, groovy, loungy - def. like the other places we have described above - 'speakeasy-ish.'
Besides a nice mix of people, I also had the pleasure of seeing Meagan, the girl who ate pancakes out of my hand at the beach party at An-myon
C agrees- she is a hottie, and we should definitely stock in some pancake mix & syrup at our place from now on . . .

Wierd thing is, I went there there the night before before you posted this. I think someone else here mentioned it somewhere so I looked for it.
It was SO cooooool, extremely mellow, and just what I wanted at the moment. - but it WAS a bit after 2 and thirty in the ayem, and MOST places wil be "chill" at that moment. Still, struck up a friendly chat with the bartender and the DJ and learned about the SKA performance mentioned and came back the next night with a friend ... it was good.
Actually, these are good indications of a "chill" place: they are small enough they don't need a website or don't need to update it much ... and yet, for the SKA gig I saw 80% waygooks and maybe 20% Korean gfs, so they heard about it somehow, and The Bobster wonders how many heard from gajackson right here.
And it was fun. We jumped up and down, which is a big part of ska, of course.

Say a kind word in my ear and I'll show you the place, Butterfly.
Mostly at the gf's urging we sought it out Sunday evening, and I was just curious if it was still there and we could find it again, It is and we could, though it was not quite as beautiful as I recall from oh so long ago - what, 13 months in the past? ... still there, yes, and still very nice.
The central area has a pond, even though the whole of it is below ground level. If you order the mango beer they will put in on a metal tray and slide it across the water for you to pick it up. The water has rose petals scattered over it and other small flowers as well, chrysanthemems and such. There is no sign on the street level to guide you in, thougjh I seem to recall there once once was.
That central area is the only part that can seat more than 6 people, Everything else is small alcoves suitable for no more than 4 at a time. The lady and I looked around and decided the maximum capacity was maybe 35.
This is part of why the exact location needs to be kept close to the vest - heck, I wasn't sure I could find the place again myself acouple of days ago.
If you know someone who knows they will tell and probably take you there.
That's enough. |
