Hi,
My school is moving me around a bit and it looks like I'll be working in Hongseong city for the duration of my contract. Is there anyone in this city at the moment who can give me a heads up?
Cheers

try PMing Tomato. He either is or was in residence there.

Hongseong is a large town or a very small city. There aren't many foreigners -- I would guess 4 tops. Transit connections are poor, except for neighboring cities such as Seosan. I don't know where you were working before, but you might be in for a bit of a culture shock.

I work 10 minutes from Haemi, a small town 30 minutes from here and 15 from Seosan.

I work in HongSeong, give me a PM. There are actually 9 forigners that I know of, and we all know each other. To be honest I don't know what visviva means about the transit connections, they are fine.

Danny, did you hit a key twice after you wrote the letter?
You somehow made two threads.
Anyway, here is the link to the other thread:

I shall promptly return to that thread and leave a link to this thread!

Is your school moving? You didn't ask about it, but work visas are usually tied to a location. I don't think they can just move you. At least, not without your consent and some paperwork.

Do you want this move to happen? If not, you can probably get released so you can work at the school of your choice, rather than your boss'.

Hi,
Sorry, to clarify, my school moved me before I have actually left for Korea - they signed the contracts and everything - and then closed down the franchise leaving my agent to find me another location with the same company.
Its nothing if not exciting!
