Sounds dodgy all over to me! if what was described is acurate and without missing details, then sure, the said "kiwi" sounds like a f wit and should be beat down or thrown out. But after a lot of soju (maybe, dont know the states either of them were in) things like throwing "out-no-where" punches have and do happen. pure speculation here, but maybe the girls were going to leave if the other guy went to itaewon and the "kiwi" was upset he wasnt going to get any action tonight and got took offence for the guy denieing him gettin a root. anyway, hope they find him, fine him and get some issues sorted, nothing happens too much when a foriegner hits another in cases ive come across.
btw, nothing wrong with a good sheep now and again, beats the hell outa fn a kangaroo! |

I could think of plenty more "vulgar" terms than the word root bro. Only kiwis or aussie (maybe) know what it means anyway, its only a generic term. Renounce your citizenship? Bit over the top isnt it? haha, ill use sexual intercourse between consenting adults next time, just for you. |

Oh, those 'crime by foreigners on the rise' articles come up every year. I did a bit of research of mine own last year and found that foreigners in Korea are three times less likely to commit crimes than Koreans. Sent and email to the reporter who wrote a similar story that appeared last year. Instead of getting a retraction, the guy argued it must be right because that's what he had been told by the government. Good thing he wasn't told we are all baby killers. |

maybe in america people sue over someone frowning at them, I don't know. But in Ireland, Australia, England, zimbabwe, a scrap is a scrap..going to court about it is not the done thing... |
I'm not American. But you should check out the number of court cases in America. People sue over the most trivial things. And it's the same in Canada. Both Canada and America are in the "west". Zimbabwe is not, last time I checked.
Anyway just pointing out that a "scrap" leading to a court battle is just as likely to end up in court in the "west" as in Korea. And the compensation in the "west" is likely to be much higher. |

Actually I am taking a class on Korean Law and Politics and according to the studies and statistics this is not true. Korea currently is using lawsuits at the same degree America was (per capita) in the 1970s. So, scraps are still less likely to end up in court in Korea... and definitely going to pay off less if you do take them there. |

You're right, a scrap here is less likely to end up in court, because the cops will just broker a payoff to the injured party. Or, in the case of a foreigner scrapping a Korean, it will be the foreigner making the payoff, even if he is the one that got hurt. |

I was thinking the same think. But they do taste good. But just a few months ago, I about cut my finger off in a potato peeling accident.
The cut was right to the bone. It was midnight. It was squirting blood. I just new I was going to die. And with the rapture so close. Well, I had some medical tape there. I managed to get everything in such a postion that I was able to have the cut squeezed shut and wrap and wrap it with tape.
That was a friday night. I left it as it was for 10 days. Then, I was visiting with a Korean friend who was also a MD. He told me to unwrap it and let him see it. So I did. He then washed the area with H2O2.
It was completely healed. It looked like a surgical scar. He told me that I did a perfect job, and that because the cut was short, but to the bone, he would have also taped it the same way, no stiches. He then said, "you are very smart". Then I said, "well I do have a PhD". 
 I can't help it. I am like Ross on "Friends".
