|
|
i just got a spam message at 1:40 am. it woke me up.
instead of finding and killing the person/establishment who decided to wake me from a sound sleep, i'd just like to figure out how to block them. i get seriously 6 spam messages a day and it's as annoying as fiberglass shards in my underwear.
any ideas? |

Peemil, that's a disturbing avatar. Did that guy run into some handgun spam? |

unfortunately that's not an option. my grandfather is ailing, and if someone phoned from home, i'd wake up to take the call.
and besides, i get 5-10 messages a day from the same person/company. it's an invasion of my privacy, and i want to know if there's a way to block it. thanks for making an effort to answer my question. |

How about calling the company and asking them to stop? |

on newer phones there is an option...
after going into incoming messages, go to spam exclusion, then you can type in numbers or strings...
once you have done so they will never make it to your inbox again |

Why do people here call cellphones handphones? I have never heard of this till I came to Korea. Aren't all phones handphones in some regard??? |

I wonder if the anti-spam option will work for all spam. It sounds like a marketing gimmick, maybe effective with some spam,... but with all? That would be nice.

Because they are NOT cell phones. There are new alternatives that aren't "cellular" anymore.
But they all are mobile phones. Yet "hand phone" is fine in some other countries as well.
This was discussed at length on a thread a few months back. Somebody can search for the link if they want to discuss terminology issues. |
