45 hours of music on one disc, AND, most importantly, backwards-compatible with regular MDs. 30 hour battery life (claimed).
Recording music from ANY source, changing the quality of recordings, and easy deletion/uploading features once again make the IPOD and similar devices seem like child's play (expensive child's play, at that). |

Right now I've got around 400 albums on my iRiver H140.
If that's child's play then I'm a happy child. |

I bought my Sony Hi-MD 2 weeks ago and loving it~!
I put my entire collection of 7 Shinhwa CDs on one MD and still had plenty of room left over.
I've had 4 MD walkmans over the last 4 years, and this new Hi-MD walkman is by far the best!!!
And I love putting all my stuff onto different MDs so that I slip in a new MD and have a completely different style of music to listen to - I've got my happy songs MD, my sad songs MD, my Korean songs MD, my Korean boy band songs MD ... MDs - they rock!!! Certainly beats having to buy a different memory card for heaps of money when I can get MDs really cheap here in Asia. |

A nifty toy indeed.
I'll definitely get one, ( MD players are just sexier and better sounding than MP3 players), but I'll wait...
I'll wait for about another year until the price comes down to about $180.00usd. I just bought my Net-MD NZ-N1 36 months ago. I don't want to be a slave to the upgrading trap. |
